*Wakakusayama (若草山), aka. Mikasayama (三笠山), is located in Kasugano-cho, Nara City. A former volcano, Mt. Wakakusayama 
is known for its grand sweeping grassland 
and its Great Buddha statue in Zoshi-cho. Every fourth Saturday of January, 
Yamayaki (grass-burning) takes place where the entire hill is set ablaze in winter which commemorates boundary disputes among temples in 1760.
